BBMC Ladies February Trip to Georgetown
Welcome Back, Linda!
Our group traveled to Georgetown on February 28th to have lunch and check out some of the shops at Georgetown Square. Linda Morrow hosted us and made reservations for lunch on the square. All were thankful for beautiful weather and an easy drive. We met at La Bella Casa, the shop where Linda works, shopped for a while, then walked to the Wildfire Restaurant where eleven of us enjoyed a wonderful lunch. We loved hearing Linda’s stories about the owners and how much she enjoys working for them. All the shops we visited on the square were nice and we helped boost the Georgetown economy that day.
Not only did we get to visit with Linda, we got to see her newly purchased 2015 Club Miata and welcome her back to the Bluebonnet Miata Club. A big thanks to Stan and Betty Chambers who lit a fire by loaning Linda one of their Miata’s so she could participate in the run they were leading on February 22nd. As she drove up to get in line for the run, Linda was all smiles! Stepping out of the car, she greeted us and stated, “I feel like I am dreaming.” Before that weekend was over, Linda found her Miata at a dealership in Austin.
Some of you may not know that Linda has fought cancer for several years and sold her previous Miata during a time of declining health. Now Linda is enjoying good days and looks forward to participating in future events. She was quick to remind us that she is still here well past the expiration date given by her physicians. As many of us in the club believes, only God knows! We hope and pray that she will enjoy her Miata and her zoomin’ friends for years to come. It has been a blessing to see how our club members have loved and supported Linda over the years and how happy she is to be back.
