A return to the popular School House run from pre-Covid days.  The Gillespie County Historic Schools are now reopening for tours.

Weather permitting, this years run will take us to three different one-room schools which operated from the late 1800’s to the mid-1900’s.  For some of you old-timers, you may have been there before on a previous run.  In the morning, we will visit two schools, followed by lunch, then on to the third school.  The trip will cover about 55 miles of backroads around Gillespie County.  For the newcomers, each school house has restrooms and refreshments available.

On Saturday 6/6/2026, we will meet at the Quick Trip (QT), exit 523 on IH-10 in Comfort, Texas.  Gather at 10:30am and go at 10:45am.  Be sure to bring your two-way radios.  A quick sandwich lunch at Wildseed Farms then after lunch we will continue to the final schoolhouse.
