GOLIAD GALLOP

 Texas History run part 2.

Ed Polansky took us to Gonzales so now we go to Goliad, the site of the biggest massacre during the Texas revolution.

WARNING: This will be a longer run. A little over 2 ½ hours including 2 SHORT pit stops.

This run will cover some areas we very rarely see. We will drive some country highways and back roads that only Paul and Judy Faulkner have ever seen. If we are fortunate, we might even see a few late blooming wild flowers. It is hard to avoid the highways on a long run like this but we have found some pretty scenic Miata roads.

We will arrive in Goliad at about 11:45 and tour the Presidio La Bahia for about an hour before heading to the Blue Quail Deli for a 1 pm lunch.

There might even be a BONUS after lunch mini-run (30-60 min) for those interested.

Meet at the Shell station on the corner of IH-10 and Foster road (NEXT to the TA Travel Center)
