Starting location:           QT at intersection of Bandera Road and Scenic Loop in Helotes

Arrive time:                      8:30 am

Driver Meeting:               8:45 am

Departure time:             9:00 am

Est. Time to park:           11:00 am (We will be near parking and restrooms) 

Run:   We’ll head north on Hwy 16, make left on Hwy 46/Bump Gate Road, connect with Hwy 173, and pit in Bandera.   Then we’ll head toward Comfort, take Sky Line Drive around the town with its beautiful views of the valley.  The final leg will be County Road 289 leading to Joshua Spring Preserve (Kendal County best park).

                                           No freeways involved on Run.

Picnic:    Bring your picnic basket (including drinks), along with lawn chairs, umbrellas, hiking shoes, and toys (kites, drones, disc golf equipment, etc.).

For those interested (if there is no event going on), we will plan a drive up to top of Ring Mountain for another great view.

 You are encouraged to bring extra desserts to share.

Note:   If you can’t make the Run, you are welcome to meet us at the park.  (Take Waring-Welfare Road exit off IH-10, go under IH-10 to park.)
