Run Recap:  Taking Hwy 16 north, through Bandera to our Pit Stop at the Apple Store in Medina (9:45ish).  From there taking Hwy 337 through Vanderpool to Leakey. Heading south from Leakey on a smaller road running parallel to Hwy 83.  Left on FM 1050 now heading east towards Utopia.  Beautiful drive!

ALTERNATE DINING OPTIONS: Everyone is welcome on the run, however if you are not joining us at The Laurel Tree, here are two other wonderful Utopia options:

Lost Maples Cafe
The Lunchbox (Inside the General Store)
Both have burgers, salads, homestyle options, etc.
You are cordially invited to join us, April 21st for a picturesque run through the western Hill Country where we will enjoy some beautiful, Spring foliage while driving dramatic scenic and twisty roads with lots of elevation changes.
Then we will enjoy a delectable feast at our lunchtime destination of The Laurel Tree restaurant in Utopia, owned and operated by French-trained chef, Laurel Waters.
While the atmosphere is that of a charming French café, the food is epicurean.  This restaurant is only open on Saturdays and has a seasonal four-course menu that changes from week to week.  This is definitely a run for the foodies!  You can check out their website to see some sample lunch menus to get an idea.
The four course meal is $29 per person, all inclusive (meal, tea or coffee, taxes and tip). BYOB of wine for the designated drinkers, no corkage fee. They provide the corkscrew and wine glasses.
We are arriving at the restaurant for an 11:30 reservation.  RSVP is required as seating is limited to 32.  Please let Cheryl know if you plan to attend.  Once the 32 limit is reached, you are still welcome to join us for the run and to enjoy lunch at another restaurant in the area.
